LeBaron, born in Hiattsville, Md., in 1945, served served in the US Navy submarine service, 1964 to 1972. He was a Machinist's Mate in the nuclear engine room aboard the USS Henry Clay and USS Thomas Jefferson, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. After leaving the Navy, LeBaron worked for Alabama Power Company at its Farley Nuclear Plant in Houston County, Ala. He is retired in Columbia, Ala.
